This icon was sent as a gift for the baptism of Åge. The baby was presented to the congregation on 17 August 2025 in Horten Domkirke. Let us wish him a happy life and strong guarian angel.
I made this in 2023. The icon depicts st. Constantine the Great, the Roman emperor who won his battles under Xp banner, declared the Milan edict of religious tolerance, and Christianity as a state religion.
He also founded Constantinople as a new capital of the Roman empire, and laid the cornerstone of the Church, and Hagia Sophia cathedral.. now sadly a mosk by decree of sultan Erdogan.
St. Constantine holds together to the Real Cross, found by his mother st. Helena Augusta in Jerusalem year 326. She, self a christian, was the one who convinced her son, the emperor, to embrace the Faith in Christ to receive divine support in his deeds.
True rulers in Chist, without them, we could not have been presented to the Word of Truth, Peace, and Love of God.
Feast day 11 May. Catholic and Lutheran church celebrate st. Helena on 18 August.
